Lara Croft
Lara Croft is the only playable character in Tomb Raider Underworld. She is determined to discover the truth about her mother's disappearance and she realises how far she is willing to go to find out.
Zip
Zip is once again helping Lara through the traps and tombs, although less then in Tomb Raider Legend. His part in the adventure is still vital when Lara needs some more information or advise.
Alistair
Alistair Fletcher helps Zip guide Lara through the temples and tombs, his wide knowledge of history and mythology is the perfect combination of what Lara needs in her adventures, and Alistair is always on hand to begin researching.
Winston
Where would Lara be without her butler? Although his appearances are mainly in the cut scenes, it does show how vital Winston is in the game and how much the characters rely on him. He is always there for Lara when she needs guidence and always there for Zip and Alistair when...well...whenever they need drinks.
SPOILERS!
Enemies:
Natla
Yes, she's back! The Atlantean Goddess is now trapped inside Amanda's "specimen jar" where she can aid Amanda. Although Natla has her own views and goals to achieve.
Kraken:
The Kraken is in the first few levels where Lara must enter a door behind, however it's tentacles are curled around the tomb's contraptions and there is no easy way to move it!
Thralls
Thralls emerge from the etir (blue liquid). They are incredibly strong and only can be completely killed if Lara stamps on them. The creatures are also taller then Lara and can walk very quickly
Yeti
They really don't like being so cold all the time. The yetis in TRU are incredibly strong and threatening. However they are very slow and will walk towards Lara instead of run. So Lara can shoot them for long periods of time.
Ameilia Croft
Lara's mother has been lost and presumed dead for a number of years. Richard Croft (Lara's father) was obsessed with getting her back from Avalon. Years after Richard Croft's death, Lara discovers that her mother might not be dead.
